Euro 4 tests in Engine Research Center of Iran Khodro

According to khabar Khodro, National Standard Organization audited automotive and engine laboratories of Iran Khodro’s Engine Research Center and it has given the ISO 17025 standard approval for its tests that are up to Euro 4 levels.

Hossein Izanlou, deputy of product research and development in Engine Research Center of Iran Khodro said, “Before, these laboratories were audited and given approvals by valid European organizations. This year as result of sanctions National Standard Organization accomplished the issue.”

He told that measuring power, emission, fuel consumption, engine performance and vehicle’s emission are among capabilities of these laboratories and added, “This new standard is given not only to this segment but also to laboratories that measure parts dimensional and laboratory of materials analysis.”

Izanlou admitted, “Therefore, people and companies who want to test emission of their vehicles with Euro 4 standards would be able to use laboratory facilities of this center and take the official certification that National Standard Organization accepts.”

He said period of auditing for taking ISO 17025 standard approval is about six months and remarked, “Because of increasing the amount of tests and requests of supply chain manager for parts’ localization, a new room was added to engine test center in first of this year and the total number of these rooms has reached to 11.”
