Drivers have more participation than automakers in clean air

According to Khabar Khodro, an environmental system expert mentioned to the importance of developing the culture of accurate use of cars in reducing air pollution.

Dr. Abdul-Azim Sobhani Nejad, environmental system expert said, "More than 60 percent of air pollution in country is the result of old cars and lack of accurate driving culture. So, if automakers follow the rules of production cars' quartering we would have clean air."

He added, "Now 5 million vehicles are quartering in Tehran that were in standard form while delivering so we cannot name automakers as delinquents of air pollution as old cars should have been remove from the cycle in order not to hurt environment."

About products of Pars Khodro Company he told, "All products of Pars Khodro Company are compatible with international standards and they have the capability for recycling about 90 percent after their life period in order to return to production chain, which has an important role in consuming energy and natural resources."

He admitted, "Environmental protection and clean air support are always the priorities of Pars Khodro's plans. Along with extended performance in two levels of products and production it also paid attention to developing environment and supporting it."

About Euro 4 compatible vehicles he said, "All vehicles of this company are compatible with Euro 4 standard but what is important is supplying their fuel, which is not accomplished yet."
