2015 Mazda2 Spied Testing

According to Khabar Khodro,The all-new 2015 Mazda2 hatch has been spied testing again this week.

The new Mazda2 is wearing only the lightest of camouflages, with all of its fine details easily discerned.

As expected, the new 2 hatch will be based on the popular Hazumi concept revealed last month.

Much of the Hazumi’s key styling elements remain, although the large wheels have been swapped out for conventional 16-inch alloys.

The headlights and tail-lights, while slightly larger, also remain mostly faithful to their stylised concept counterparts.

In concept form, the Hazumi measures 4070mm long, 1730mm wide and 1450mm tall, riding on a 2585mm wheelbase.

Outgoing 2 five-door hatch measures just 3950mm long, 1695mm wide - but sits higher at 1475mm. It rides on a 2492mm wheelbase.

These spy photos however suggest that the new model will retain most of the concept’s size, making the new Mazda2 a more spacious offering than before.

Mazda has also confirmed a 1.5 litre SkyActiv-D diesel engine for the new Mazda2, although it is possible that this engine will be offered in Europe only.
