All cars are launching to the market with Euro 4 Standard

According to Khabar Khodro, Ministerof Industry, Mineand Trade announced the cooperation with Environmental Protection Agency and said, “From the beginning of Tir all passenger cars in country would be launched with Euro 4 Standard.”

Mohammad Reza Nematzade in the Seminar ontheDevelopment ofthe Private Sectorfor goals of Organizationof the United Nations, which was held in Iran Chamber of Commerce told, “Oil Ministry would also supply Euro 4 Standard compatible fuel for cars and there is no problem for this issue.”

He added, “According to the announcement of Oil Ministry, it is possible to launch Euro 5 fuel in near future. A compact plan is also under consideration by government for improving engine of heavy and light duty cars. In recent two months, a 10-year plan is approvedand markedfor improving engine of heavy and light duty cars. The plan explains when fuel consumption of cars should be revised and cars’ performance should be based on the international standards.”

He announced that another plan of Ministryof Industry, Mineand Trade for optimizingfuel consumption is modifyingplants and admitted, “It is several years that there are some neglects for energy consumption and reducing it but we are planned for revise thisprocess.”

Nematzade reiterated, “In the budget of this year it is recommended that taking facilitiesfromexternal sources to be done as reciprocal in order to make it possible for Oil Ministry to sign contracts with some companies for reducingfuel consumption.So, theamount of savingswould be equal to repayment ofloans.”

Ministerof Industry, Mineand Trade said, “We also are also codification plans for cooperation of Oil Ministry for heavy duty cars.”
