Iran Khodro should develop auto making in Azerbaijan

According to Khabar Khodro, Minister of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan has visited production lines of Iran Khodro and had a meeting with Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran and the CEO of Iran Khodro about developing industrial cooperation.

Shahin Mustafayev, Minister of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan said, "It is satisfying that our neighbor country has such an advanced industry and uses latest technology of producing vehicles."

He added, "Iran Khodro could have answer local market demands as well as exporting to other countries."

 He told, "Iran Khodro has made 1 million direct and indirect jobs in this industry, which should be appreciated."

He remarked, "Azerbaijan is ready to offer its experiences about preparing industrial parks to Iran."

Minister of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan has invited Iran Khodro officials to develop bilateral cooperation in auto industry by being presence in Iran Khodro Azerbaijan site.

At the meeting, Engineer Mohsen Salehi Nia, Vice President of Industry Affairs in Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade in Iran said that ninth meeting of the Joint Commission of Tehran and Baku is a good point for continuing cooperation.

He added, "Last year, about 2500 units of Iran Khodro and Saipa products, which account about 15 million dollar have exported to Azerbaijan and we hope that export and import of parts and assembly in Azerbaijan to be accelerated with recent agreements."

He told, "Considering capabilities of both countries we are ready to develop our cooperation on other parts of industry including Mines and Geology."

Engineer Yeke Zare', the CEO of Iran Khodro in this meeting mentioned to the presence of Iran Khodro in international fields and said, "For achieving this basic goal there is a new determined structure for export and we believe that we can reach 30 percent export of total products with a perennial plan."

He told that export is an important issue and added, "Success in exporting products to other countries and compete in international markets shows diversity of products, quality of products, technical features of target country, accurate after sales services and global standards."
