Joint venture is the only way for foreign automakers to continue their activity in Iran

According to Khabar Khodro, the CEO of Iran Khodro has announced the design of first local platform in Iran Khodro and told, "Soon first platform of Iran Khodro would be debuted with a powertrain."

According to the reporter of Khabar Khodro, Hashem Yeke Zare' at the opening day for production of Peugeot 206 type 2 with local engine said, "Unfortunately, in recent years designing platform was forgotten in auto industry of Iran while it should be considered as in important issue."

He mentioned that production is not our priority and added, "Unfortunately in recent 12 years nothing good was happened for developing products in auto industry."

He remarked, "In year 93, Iran Khodro is trying for considering quality, after sales services, exports and developing products."

He explained about plan of Iran Khodro for developing products and has announced the launch of new vehicles from second half of year 94 and admitted, "From second half of year 94 we would unveil a new product and a new face lift every 6 months and every 3 years there would be announced a new vehicles family in Iran Khodro."

Yeke Zare' added, "Renault, Suzuki and Peugeot should know that we are not willing to continue our cooperation with them as past and future collaborations should be based on win-win basis."

He remarked, "The only way for foreign automakers to continue their activity in Iran is joint venture in this country."
