With recent agreements we would need to import automaker and parts maker instead of vehicles

According to Khabar Khodro, board member of Parts Makers' Association said, "If nuclear talks are finalized the cooperation process of Iranian parts makers and automakers with international companies would become easier."

Mohammad Reza Najafi Manesh in an interview with Khabar Khodro's reporter told, "

He added, "Finalizing of recent agreements and applying them could make serious moves in many industrial and manufacturing divisions and accelerate activities in that segments."

He admitted, "However, if agreements are finalized, some time would be needed to apply them and accomplish promises. But the important result of these agreements for auto industry is making accurate beds for cooperation with international companies."

He remarked, "Of course, during sanctions we had some interactions with foreign companies but there were some problems in that time as the result of limitations in transferring liquidity. So, if we make nuclear agreements these barriers would be removed and Iranian people would benefit most."

He mentioned to the announcement of Peugeot about re-cooperation in Iran and reiterated, "During recent talks, Peugeot that has left Iran for some reasons is coming back. In addition, with finalizing these agreements every company would be welcome here and there would be good conditions. It should be considered that after agreements we should try to import automaker and parts maker instead of vehicles in order to activate local production and offer more updated products to customers."

Najafi Manesh added, "We forecast that after finalizing the agreements, parts' export by 1404 would be realized and the plan of exporting 6 milliard dollar parts would be met."

He mentioned to the prices of cars after agreements and told, "The price of cars is directly related to the inflation rate while now the inflation rate is reached to 15 percent by efforts of government. So whenever the inflation rate becomes negative the price of cars would be decreased. Therefore it does not seem that current process of agreements has any effect on reducing prices of cars."
