Start of numbering and delivering first locally made mini bus in Iran Khodro Diesel

According to Khabar Khodro, the CEO of Iran Khodro Diesel said, "By the end of year 95 the amount of localization of Arian mini bus would reach to at least 90 percent."

According to the reporter of Khabar Khodro, Gholam Reza Razazi during numbering and delivering event of first locally made mini bus told, "Design of Arian mini bus is doing with at least 75 percent localization and according to plans it will reach to 90 percent next year."

He added, "Gearbox, axle, transmission, body and some other parts of this mini bus is completely localized."

He mentioned that Iran Khodro Diesel has the highest prosecution capacity in Middle East and admitted, "Now Iran Khodro Diesel has the capacity to produce 25000 units of cargo trucks, 5500 units of buses, 6500 units of vans, pickups and mini busses and totally 35000 units of commercial vehicles."

He remarked, "Now Iran Khodro is exporting to 30 countries globally and exports vehicles to Asia and Africa with different brands."

He reiterated, "In last decade and during years 79 to 89 production of mini bus in Iran Khodro Diesel was due to foreign partner but localization percent of this vehicle was not accurate while 90 percent of market was dependent to the cruise product of Iran Khodro Diesel. However, as the result of sanctions and refusal of foreign partner the company has moved toward localization and has designed and launched Arian mini bus with high percentage of localization."

"The only non localized part in Arian mini bus is its engine, which is now designing in Idem company with euro 3 standard and can be upgraded to euro 4 standard, too."

Razazi added, "Now there are 1700 parts in Arian mini bus 950 of which are supplying by local means and by OPCO and 650 parts of it are sourced from Iran Khodro Diesel. Only 50 parts of this vehicle is sourced from foreign companies."
