According to Khabar Khodro, the CEO of Zamyad has announced the plan for producing 40000 units of light duty vehicles in this company and said, “According to determined plans in this year we are willing to produce about 40000 units of Zamyad light duty vehicles.”
Fereydoun Hamidi in an exclusive interview with Khabar Khodro’s reporter mentioned to the production plan of Zamyad for this yearand added, “Improving production and using manufacturing situation are among goals of this company.”
He mentioned to some reports about halting the production of buses in Zamyad and told, “Some reports say that production of buses in Zamyad has become zero. Basically, Zamyad is not interested in production of buses but it has the potential to produce them, Zamyad produces buses in case of demand so if there would be any tenders or orders it would participate as the company has both the potential and science of manufacturing busses. In addition, we also have produced CNG fueled buses while other companies could not do it for now.”
He remarked, “However, now 50 units of buses with European brand, IVECO, are produced in this company and placed at sales division.”
About market share of Zamyad products he admitted, “Market share of heavy duty commercial vehicles of this company in year 91 was 3.1 percent, which has grown to 4.9 percent in year 92 and it became 0 in year 93.”
He reiterated, “in a period, IVECO has faced some problems and the company was sold to American companies, which resulted in stopping its cooperation with Zamyad, but from last year we have tried to restart cooperation with it and we hope to be able to offer IVECO products soon.”
He added, “Although in Farvardin we have seen 9 percent production increase as compared to same time last year, this amount is not satisfying and we are willing to move with more quality and growth.”
About production plans of heavy duty vehicles he told, “We expect that 400 units of these vehicles to be produced and launched by end of this year.”
