According to Khabar Khodro, Delivery of first series of Volvo trucks for the plan of renewal of road transportation fleet has been done in an event with presence of Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and the CEO of Saipa Auto Group in Saipa Diesel.

According to Khabar Khodro, Delivery of first series of Volvo trucks for the plan of renewal of road transportation fleet has been done in an event with presence of Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and the CEO of Saipa Auto Group in Saipa Diesel.

According to the reporter of Khabar Khodro, the CEO of Saipa Diesel during this event said, “Today, 11 FH trucks would be delivered to advocates in the form of renewal plan and by end of this year 100 old trucks would be renewed.”

Za’farTanhapour mentioned that more than 2300 people have been registered for the plan of old trucks’ renewal and told, “According to timed plans, delivery of new vehicles for these people would start from Bahman this year and would be completed by end of year 96.”

He added, “In addition, each new truck in this plan would receive Gold card of after sales services, which is accounts for 15 million toman and its services would be offered by Rena After Sales Services Company.”

He said that among advantages of this Gold card is continuous services and remarked, “Key feature of this card is that services would be continued even if guarantee period is over.”

He reiterated, “Operator bank in this plan is Tose’eTa’avon Bank (Cooperative Development Bank) with cooperation of which 100 trucks would be renewed.”

He admitted, “In this plan 300 million toman loans with 5 to 7 years repay time would be allocated.”

He mentioned that now 130000 old trucks with more than 25 years of lifecycle are in roads of country and said, “According to fifth development plan and in the following of sixth development plan it is determined that in next 5 years, 65000 old trucks should be replaced.”

He added, “The plan of replacing old trucks is done according to an agreement between automakers and Maintenance and Road Transport Organization of Iran. In first phase of this plan 3500 trucks would be renewed by Saipa Diesel, which could be increased to 6000 units.”

He admitted that one of the advantages of this plan is that 9 percent of loans are being offered by Maintenance and Road Transport Organization of Iran and added, “Therefore, 11 percent of loans would be paid by advocates and some costs that are about 6 percent would be paid by automakers.”
