Iran's Behzad Torkizadeh and Siamak Derakhshan won the second and third awards of the event's Underwater Archeology Photography Competition MASTERS SECTION respectively.

The third award of the Underwater Archeology Photography Competition went to Esmail Golrokh, and Rouzbeh Karami received the third prize of the Underwater Nature Photography Competition.

Milorad Duknic, Prof. Ahmet Tirpan, Prof. Metin Karadag, Dr. Osman Kahyaoglu, Ates Evirgen, Erhan Ozturk, Tacettin Saglar, Aydin Aytug, Leonore Wolf and Turgay Isiklar judged the works of the underwater photography categories.

The IKUD is a week of activities organized by the Mediterranean Underwater Archeological Research Center (AASAM) and the Foundation for the Promotion of Kemer (KETAV), whose goal is to introduce the natural and archeological beauties of Antalya.

This year's event presented different types of activities such as underwater imaging competitions, underwater documentary and film projections and underwater photography exhibitions.

The 2011 IKUD also held the Archeologist Metin Pehlivaner award ceremony to pay tribute to those who have contributed to Turkey's underwater archeology.

Turkey is also slated to host the 13th Underwater Photo World Championship (CMAS) from May 26 to 31, 2011, in Bodrum.
