Three explosions have struck three government buildings in Jiangxi province in eastern China, injuring at least five people.

Two cars exploded simultaneously in front of a state prosecutors' office and a district government office in Fuzhou city at 9:18 local time on Thursday morning, a Press TV correspondent in Beijing reported.

At around 9:45, a third bomb went off in front of another government office, the report added.

According to local official sources, at least five people have been injured in the Thursday incidents.

Police have sealed off the explosion sites as microblog photos show huge mushroom clouds rising into the sky.

The culprit is reportedly a disgruntled farmer who had a grievance over a land case with the Chinese government.

Many Chinese farmers are angry with the government for taking their lands from them to build infrastructural projects or to build commercial developments.

In China, many people use fertilizers to make bombs and use them to show their fury despite they know they may face execution.

In recent years, disgruntled or mentally unstable Chinese citizens have set off blasts near public places.

Last month, at least 49 people were injured when a disgruntled former employee set off a petrol bomb at a rural bank in northwestern china's Gansu province, mostly inhabited by Tibetans.
