494,500 units of Mazda3 recalled by Mazda globally

In a recent event, Mazda unexpectedly recalled around 494,500 units of the Mazda3 which are known as Mazda Axela in other parts of the world.

According to KHABAR KHODRO,The call is for global customers who have Mazda3 and are required to fix a glitch in an electronic part which could avoid the possibility of malfunctioning of the windshield wipers.

While recalling, Mazda spokeswoman had addressed that no accidents were reported regarding this issue. The recall is made to cover the cars and knock-down parts for those vehicles that were shipped between January 2008 and July 2010.

Mazda3 is a compact car and are manufactured by the Mazda Motor Corporation in Japan. Introduced for the 2004 model year, Mazda3 had replaced the Mazda Familia.

In order to offer more performance to the vehicle, Mazda introduced a more performance-oriented version of the Mazda3 known as Mazdaspeed3 which were sold in North America and also for Europe they made Mazda3 MPS.

Considering the similar model, the company had also introduced a second-generation Mazda3 for the 2010 model year, with 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback/wagon.

Every nation was offered different engines as well as features that made Mazda3 impressive. The change can be found right through the model year 2004 till today.

This global recall has affected 157,700 units in the North America, 91,600 units in Europe, 84,000 units in China, and nearly 20,000 units in Japan.
