According to KHABARKHODRO , Porsche used the principles of Intelligent Performance for its sports cars to build its Bike S and Bike RS urban bicycle range.
Porsche’s bike concept offers a ‘ride anywhere’ capability and utilizes top-quality materials and the most advanced technology.
It takes its inspiration from the automaker’s GT road-car department, which is tasked to build the ultimate lightweight Porsche sports cars such as the 500hp 911 GT3 RS 4.0. Porsche is known to not make compromises when it comes to performance and this philosophy is all the more evident in the Bike RS.The Porsche Bike S is built with a 7005 Hydroformed Aluminum frame, some carbon fibre front forks and an internally-geared Shimano 11-speed Alfine hub gear system and a double-clutch system for smooth gear-shifting under heavy pedal loads. It also gets a set of DT Swiss wheels with smooth rolling resistance tires, with improved resistance to punctures and with better performance on wet or rough terrain. Making this model even more impressive are Magura disc-brakes. It weighs 11kgs, making it ideal for either commuting to the city for work or going on a long-distance cycle tour. It weighs 9kg with a recently developed carbon fibre monococque frame that offers high levels of bike stability and high quality damping properties.
It provides an optimum dynamic performance in various terrains, whether from an urban street or a country bridleway. Its key features include lightweight, high quality parts like a carbon fibre seat post, handlebars and stem. The Bike RS also comes with equipment typically reserved for high-level cycle racing.
