According to Khabarkhodro,
Although automakers’ average market share decreased by 4.4% in the UK, Alfa Romeo opposed the trend by gaining the third largest manufacturer market share increase for the year. The brand owes its success to a combination of factors, including the fresh product line-up, the improved dealer network and the competitive finance and incentive offers available on each model.
Both the Alfa MiTo and Alfa Giulietta hatchbacks have helped the Italian carmaker gain a market share in the UK. „To record such an impressive market share increase in a shrinking auto market is testament to the Alfa Romeo brand that is now available in the UK. We have two leading products on offer, and have been able to win back customers who may have shied away from the brand in the past,” said Alfa Romeo UK head of brand Damien Dally in a statement.
The Alfa Romeo 4C, due in 2013, will further strengthen Alfa Romeo’s position in the UK.
