Feds investigating into 2013 Infiniti JX35

According to khabarkhodro، The NHTSA has opened a preliminary investigation into a potential defect for the luxury crossover 2013 Infiniti JX35 because of a problem with its emergency braking application.

According to the Office of Defects Investigation, or simply ODI, the problem has been described as “false surveillance of the vehicle’s environment activates emergency braking bringing the vehicle to a complete stop”. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is currently looking into this problem and even if no details about a possible recall have been officially announced yet, the chances are high to lead onto this path, especially because of the affected vehicles listed as 8,000.

Both Nissan and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have received consumer complaints but after a quick research, the feds said that no precipitating event or imminent collisions in front have been reported and the vehicles in question came to a sudden and complete stop. A Nissan spokesman has announced that the company is aware of the problem and it’s working on a solution, while the feds are investigating into it.
