Recall roundup: 2007-2012 Nissan X-Trail

According to khabar khodro ،The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently announced a recall for the X-Trail model in Australia because of a potential fire risk.

According to the official website of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), 8,136 units of the T31 Nissan X-Trail models will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers in order to get the problem with the potential fire risk solved. The ACCC says that the lower front bulkhead insulator may suffer from warping resulting in insufficient clearance to the turbocharger.

The lower front insulator may partially smolder due to high temperature of the turbocharger, posing a potential fire hazard”, as the ACCC says in its recall summary.

The affected Nissan X-Trail vehicles have been produced between the 21st of December 2007 and the 27th of April, 2012. Nisan Australia says that no incidents have been reported and no crashes of injuries have been related to this problem. The recall is expected to begin soon and owners of the above mentioned model are being advised to contact their local Nissan dealership in order to get the problem fixed with the bulkhead insulator.
