According to Khabar Khodro, the CEO of Yazd Tire Company has announced willingness of some foreign companies for cooperation with Iran tire industry and said, “Along with resolving sanctions and applying BARJAM, many famous companies in tire industry have tried to talk and start cooperation with Iran auto industry.”
Dr. Sotoude in an interview with Khabar Khodro’s reporter told, “Certainly, applying BARJAM and removing barriers of cooperation would have effect on development and change of tire industry technology.”
He added, “It is expected that a good future is coming for tire industry with applying BARJAM and resolving sanctions.
He remarked, “However, current condition is effective in buying ingredients, parts and machinery for short time but its effect in taking science and technology of production takes a long time and would be effective in a longer period.”
He admitted, “In recent years, many activists and manufacturers in this industry have tried to offer high quality and update products despite sanctions. But current condition makes opportunity for companies with lower technology to try to update their production and take new technologies.”
He reiterated, “With resolving sanctions, there would be no concernif imports come from European and famous brands.”
He added, “Today the only concern of this industry is tire imports from countries that have low quality tires and in fact would hurt the local manufacturing with damping and low prices.”
Sotoudementioned to the decisions of ministry of industry and mine about imports of low quality tires to the country and remarked, “It is expected that with applying these decisions low quality tires do not import to the country.”
He said, “Creating requirements such as existing after sales services dealership for import companies and importing valid foreign brands with European certificate are among decisions of this ministry for imports of tires.”
He told, “Iran tire industry is ready for any cooperation and jointing with valid tire companies in the world.”
