First European truck comes to Iran

According to Khabar Khodro, the CEO of Zamyad Company said, “In continuation of importing process for high quality commercial vehicles in Iran, soon first truck with European brand would be launched in market by Zamyad.”

Fereydoun Hamidi announced the news and added, “This product with Italian IVECO brand, commercial partner of Zamyad, would be launched in freight fleet of Iran in second half of this year and in near future, its booking conditions would be announced.”

He mentioned to the plan of producing more than 1000 units of commercial vehicles with IVECO brand this year and admitted, “This year along with lunching STRALIS truck and Euro Cargo, again we would start production of passenger vehicles of IVECO such as 11 seated van and 19 seated mini bus with this brand that would be unrivaled in Iran market.”

About the features of these products, he told, “In passenger van and mini bus products that their booking is done and costumers welcome them, there are features such as 143hp of power, 3000 cc diesel engine with Euro 4 omission standard, 200000 kilometer guarantee and many amenities and it seems that many activists in transportation would like them.”

He also mentioned to the advantages of European trucks and reiterated that technological gap between producing these kind of commercial vehicles in Iran and IVECO products is inconsiderable and said, “As an example, now STRALIS and Euro Cargo trucks are producing in Zamyad Company as modern products of Europe and with same quality and capability that is the guarantee of quality of European commercial vehicles in Iran.”

Finally, he mentioned to the satisfaction of drivers in commercial transportation fleet toward IVECO products and added, “Diverse capabilities and suitability with Iran market, wide after sales services, high durability and low maintenance costs of IVECO products that are produced in Zamyad Company would positively impact activists of this sector.”
