According to Khabar Khodro, the CEO of Iran Khodro Industrial Group said, "The company would welcome any ideas offered by academics and related to vehicle design and it is ready to cooperate with them.”
Engineer Hashem Yeke Zare in first international conference of new powerplant in University of Science and Industry told, "There is good potential in auto industry and universities that with correct definition of issue, it could result in good results.”
He added, "If the university has a capability for research and innovation and offering a sellable product to manufacturer, it should go ahead and then the manufacturer would also cooperate with them.”
He admitted, "Unfortunately, the relationship between industry and university is limited to conferences and there is no visual results in this regard. There are high capabilities both in industry and in university that should be considered.”
He reiterated, "in 2018, about 97 million units of vehicles with 3000$ milliards of turnover were produced in world and 70 million people were responsible for their production.”
He announced that in 2018, about 1.5 million units of vehicles were produced in Iran Khodro and committed, "For production of these amount of vehicles, about 4$ milliards were exited from the country while their imports could have been cost about 22$ milliards.”
He added, "Considering turnovers of necessary spare parts, their exchange usage could have been 27$ milliard that is equal to 97 percent of non-oil exports, 50 percent of oil exports and 3/2 of development budget of the country.”
He said that employment is another advantage of auto industry and announced that for each direct job, there are five indirect jobs in this industry and told, "850000 people are working in Iran auto industry.”
He mentioned to the necessity of maintaining auto industry of country and said, "Auto manufacturing has many advantages and we should realize our goals with cooperation.”
