Cars prices would not change without offering detailed documentations

According to Khabar Khodro, member of National Council on Competitiveness said, “Cars’ pricing is a fixed process and it would not change without offering detailed documentations.”

Isa Emami in an interview with Khabar Khodro’s reporter told, “The formula of pricing cars is determined in a way that with considering indicators of partial inflation rate and exchange rate it could be updated in any section.”

He mentioned to recent meeting of Council on Competitiveness and added, “At this meeting, members of Council on Competitiveness offered their ideas about process of pricing cars and it was decided that this issue to be followed in a meeting with presence of automakers’ managers and officials in Minister of Industry.”

He remarked, “According to the ideas of members of Council on Competitiveness, process of pricing cars is an accurate formula and completely critical. Therefore, with any change in exchange and inflation rate new prices would be announced with this process.”

Emami admitted, “Pricing cars should be in a way that makes a competitive condition in country.”

He said, “If reasonable information is offered to this council, it would be ready to hold expert meetings for this issue and review the process of pricing cars.”

Finally, he said, “However, automakers and Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade could also offer their ideas about prices and current process of pricing cars, if they have, council would study them.”
