Iran Khodro signed a memorandum with universities for producing electric and hybrid vehicles

According to Khabar Khodro, Iran Khodro Industrial Group has signed two memorandums with Sharif Industrial University and Amir Kabir University for cooperation on design and production of electric and hybrid vehicles in country.

These memorandums were signed with presence of Mohammad Reza Nematzade, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Mohammad Farhadi, Minister of Science, Research and Technology and the CEO of Iran Khodro and chiefs of these universities have singed them.

According to these memorandums, the cooperation of Iran Khodro and Sharif Industrial University and Amir Kabir University is for designing, prototyping, testing and developing electric and full hybrid vehicles in order to achieve mass production and their design and development science.

In memorandums is said that process of design and development of hybrid and electric vehicles would be done in three phases including explaining economic and technical specifications, designing and prototyping and planning and finalizing technical science of production in industrial scale.

The CEO of Iran Khodro during this event told, "Iran Khodro has concentrated at four issues including quality, exports, after sales services and product development and therefore has introduced different projects, which are accomplishing."

Engineer Hashem Yeke Zare' added, "Iran Khodro has been planning in order to reach the orders of Supreme Leader. However, these plans are not limited just to these memorandums and in near future we would have shared plans with other scientific and research centers."

He admitted, "We are also considering foreign advisors for these plans and memorandums in order to increase our presence in international markets. Our goal is to offer electric and hybrid vehicles in our product portfolio."
