Changing the catalyst of Pride taxis in Tehran

According to Khabar Khodro, deputy of quality and engineering in Saipa Yadak has announced the change of catalyst for more than 2400 units of Pride taxis in Tehran in order to help reduce air pollution and carrying out social duties.

Mahdi Rouzbahani said, “Considering approval of government cabinet about forcing executive organizations to defeat air pollution, Saipa Yadak Company is also committed to finish its activities for reducing air pollution, which are started with cooperation of municipality and EPA, in order to reduce omission from exhausts and risks of gasoline vapors emitted into the air and prevent diseases resulted of them.”

He added, “The issue is based on a tripartite agreement between Tehran municipality, Tehran EPA and Saipa Yadak and according to it catalysts of 2400 Pride taxis have changed in two phases starting from mid-92.”

He told, “In first phase, which was ended in year 93, the catalyst of 1200 Pride taxis were changed and in second phase, which was ended in Khordad 94, the catalyst of other 1200 units were changed.”

He remarked, “We had negotiations with municipalities of big cities like Isfahan, Shiraz, Tabriz, Arak, Qom, Mashhad, Karaj and Ahvaz in order to expand the catalyst changing plan for public vehicles.”

He admitted, “Saipa Yadak is committed to its customers and society and in order to carry out these social duties we have done activities such as free checking of catalysts, clean air plans and creating environment group in order to take part in reducing air pollution.”
