Spokespersons at Force Motors have announced that the company is working on new projects which will see them launch new MUV's by 2012. A brand new plant at Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh is in the process of being installed specifically for this purpose.
According to KHABAR KHODRO, This unit is said to have capacity of about 24,000 vehicles per year and for this Force Motors have just inked an understanding with Daimler for understanding technical knowhow. MVP’s from Force Motors are expected to initiate production by the end of next year. There was no official statement as to amount of initial investment into the project.
At present, Force Motors has a contract with Daimler for assembly and supply of engines and axles for luxury vehicles for their subsidiary Mercedes Benz. Foraying into passenger and carrier vehicles was Force Motors ambition which would be similar to their Traveller range.
The company revealed that this new MVP will come out with new technical licenses and back up from MBtech. On the stock market though, shares of Force Motors stood at Rs.699 down 0.22%
