Mercedes Benz SL500 sold for $20 by NFL coach to a cafeteria worker

In a show of bigheartedness, NFL coach has sold his Mercedes Benz SL-500 for $20 to a cafeteria worker.

According to KHABAR KHODRO, Coach Ray Horton became friends with cafeteria worker Maurice Matthews who had worked for many years at Pittsburgh Steelers cafeteria where coaches used to have their meals on a regular basis.

This friendship led to Coach Horton selling Matthews his car for $20 as that was all Matthews had in his pocket when the coach approached him to bid farewell.

Matthews received Horton's 1999 Mercedes Benz SL-500 which had just clocked 64,000 miles. Horton told Matthews that since he had always liked the car he was sure he would look after it properly. The next day when Matthews went to pick up Horton to drop him off at the airport he was handed over the car with all its papers intact and signed in his name.

Matthews is still unable to grasp the fact that he is now proud owner of a Mercedes Benz SL-500 and that too at $20.
