Lamborghini will make 1.5 million euro supercar

Lamborghini will produce a limited run of 20 Sesto Elemento supercars and plans to sell them for a starting price of 1.5 million euros a piece, CEO Stephan Winkelmann said in an interview.

According to KHABAR KHODRO, The CEO said that deliveries of the Sesto Elemento would start in 2013. The car will be produced at the Volkswagen Group subsidiary's factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy.When asked why the carmaker decided to make just 20 units, Winkelmann said that Lamborghini hopes to match the success it had with a similar small run for the Reventon supercar. In 2007, Lamborghini sold its 20 units of the Reventon for 1 million euros each.Speaking on the sidelines of a VW Group press event on the eve of the Frankfurt auto show, Winkelmann provided another reason for producing the Sesto Elemento: "We have made it a goal to realize our concept cars."The Sesto Elemento concept, which debuted at the 2010 Paris auto show, looks much like a Stealth fighter on wheels because of its liberal use of carbon fiber.
