Jaguar Land Rover competes with German rivals

The recent Frankfurt Motor Show saw the likes of Jaguar, Land Rover and Ssangyong, each of whom have an India auto connection bringing out vehicles that could be direct competition for top German auto rivals such as Audi, Mercedes Benz, BMW, VW and Porsche.

According to KHABAR KHODRO, The Frankfurt Motor Show was a launch pad for Jaguar's concept sports car CX 16 and Land Rover too showed off two variants of an all terrain vehicle named 'Defender'.

Mr. John Edwards, Global Brand Director of Land Rover said that their sales figures increased by 15% during the last year. Though the car sector has been facing some serious problems this year, Jaguar is optimistic about their sales during the present year as well. They are ready to commence sales of Evoque this month. Porsche launched their new 911 Carrera Sports Car. Mr. Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director of Jaguar said that the time was right to bring in their two seater sports car
