Mass production of 1400 cc national engine with 95 percent of domestic structure

According to KHABARKHODRO, EF4 engine is third engine of national family of engines which 95 percent of its structure is domestic.

As reporter of KHABARKHODRO reports, Javad najm aldin, director of Iran khodro said: this 1400 CC engine is natural aspirated and has most components common with ED7 1700CC.

 He said: this engine is only Iranian engine which supply Euro 5 standard.

He also reminded: this engine is designed in two diesel and petrol versions which petrol one is testing as to be installed on Rana and other cars.

He reported of 20 productive samples and which is going to be installed on Rana and first equipped Rana with this engine will be prepared until one month later.

He said: sine car project is further than engine one so first serious of Rana will be produced with TU5 engine.

Director of Iran khodro added: self sufficiency of this engine was planed in three or four year's period and although being sanction we could apply 95 percent of domestic components in it.

He also reported of calibration tests in this engine and added: finishing tests, validation tests would be done before mass production and winter tests in this winter and summer tests would be done in next summer and Rana will be produced in mass production.

He reminded: Rana with 1700CC gaslight base engine will be produced.
