The British based automaker Aston Martin has decided to launch its Cygnet in Japan and China in two limited editions after the sales of their hot hatch were unexpectedly low in Great Britain.

The British based automaker Aston Martin has decided to launch its Cygnet in Japan and China in two limited editions after the sales of their hot hatch were unexpectedly low in Great Britain.

According to Aston Martin, the Japanese and Chinese Cygnet will be available locally in two limited editions, the Edition White and Edition Black, where the first one has the Snow White exterior paint job, along with chrome brightwork, diamond turned alloy wheels and seats hand trimmed in Pearl White leather with Alcantara inserts, while the Edition Black comes with satin chrome accents, black full grain leather finish for the seats and dashboard, chrome brightwork, matt black louvers and a Magic Black paint job with deep sea green effect.

The British automaker says that the two limited editions of the Cygnet for Japan and China are available at a starting price of 4.750.000 YEN and 603.578 HKD. The “Asian” Cygnet is already available for order but deliveries will start in the first quarter of next year.

As a reminder the Aston Martin Cygnet is a 2+2 hot hatch powered by a .13 liter straight four-cylinder engine which is developing 98 BHP and it’s emitting just 110 g of CO / km, while burning just 3.99 l evey 100 km (58.9 mpg US / 70.7 mpg UK).

The Aston Martin Cygnet is actually a rebadged variant of the Toyota iQ upgraded with leather and slightly modified only to be sold at an over-rated price.
