According to KHABARKHODRO, Nissan Motor Corp. on Tuesday said that its operations at the Samut Prakan plant are suspended and this production hold will continue until Friday, October 28, due to shortage in parts supply.

 

The automaker informs that some employees have been displaced from their homes due to flooding.

To date, one dealer showroom has been flooded and another dealership has been closed due to the flooding in the surrounding area.

Since early October, extraordinarily heavy monsoon rain has caused severe flooding in many parts of Thailand, with subsequent disruptions to manufacturing supply chains.

Damage to the agricultural and industrial sectors is estimated to be well over Bt100 billion, while damage to property is as yet unaccounted for.
