Volkswagen Up! GT is coming with 110HP

According to Khabarkhodro, The new Volkswagen Up! GT will be coming with 110 horsepower squeezed out of a 1.0 liter engine.

After the German based automaker has recently announced that the VW Up! will also get the GT version, a brochure which ended up on the internet is announcing that the new model will get 110 horsepower. The Volkswagen Up! GT is expected to be powered by a 1.0 liter three-cylinder engine which will generate a total output of 100 HP and it will have 175 Nm of torque. The engine will be more powerful than the current 1.0 liter unit and it will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

Thanks to this “new” engine, the Volkswagen GT Up! will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 195 km/h, while burning just 4.5 liters of fuel every 100 km in an average cycle. The engine is expected to meet the Euro 6 standards. The Up! GT will come in the same size as its three- and five-door brothers, 3.54 meters long, 1.64 meters wide and 1.48 meters high, and the model will still weigh 960 kilograms. On the outside, the VW Up! GT is expected to come unchanged from its other versions and the model might hit the market in 2013.
