Redesigned Toyota Avensis going to Japan

According to Khabarkhodro,Toyota Motor Corporation has recently announced that a redesigned version of the popular Avensis model will be launched in Japan on the 16th of April.

According to the car manufacturer, the “new” Toyota Avensis will be sold across Japan through Toyota, Toyopet and Netz dealers. Toyota says that the redesigned Avensis is coming with a more robust and dynamic addition and the model is featuring LED headlamps, a new front grille and front bumper and an accentuated grating on the lower grille. The interior design has been upgraded and the door grips and center console are finished in silver, while the door switch bases and the side air vents have chrome accents, contributing in an improved cabin feel.

The redesigned Toyota Avensis will be available in two grades, the Xi and the Li, both of them being powered by the same 3ZR-FAE 2.0 liter engine, which is sending power to the front wheels through a super CVT-i transmission. The Xi version will be available at a starting price of 2,500,000 yen while the Li will cost 2,750,000 yen. The model is being assembled in Burnaston Plant, UK, and Toyota hopes to sell 300 units every month in Japan.
