EuroNCAP: Chevrolet Aveo is Europe’s safest small car

According to Khabarkhodro,The new generation of the Chevrolet Aveo has been named Europe’s safest small car by the European New Car Assessment Program (EuroNCAP), which has recently published the results for 53 new models on the Old Continent.

After it has achieved a five-star rating and 87 percent of the maximum possible scores in adult and child occupant protection in the crash tests done by the safety specialists at EuroNCAP, the new generation of the Chevrolet Aveo is being recognized as Europe’s safest small car, contributing to future sales of the model.

“Aveo is a great car with a head-turning design and safety features that are second to none. With the new infotainment system and additional efficiency improvements, the Aveo is an even more interesting choice in the small-car segment”, said the president and managing director of Chevrolet Europe, Susan Docherty.

The new generation of Chevrolet Aveo is coming with six airbags as stand and a lot of safety systems such as the electronic brake force distribution, four-channel ABS with brake assist, traction control and electronic stability control. Chevy Aveo is currently being offered with a choice of five engines, the 1.2 MT, 1.2 ECO MT, 1.4 MT, 1.4 AT and 1.6 AT, but a 1.3 liter turbo diesel unit will soon enter the Aveo lineup.
