Hyundai Veloster Turbo going to Geneva

Hyundai has recently announced that the Veloster Turbo will be officially presented to the public, in an European premiere, on the 6th of March, at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

After the Hyundai i20 facelift has been revealed ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut, time has come for the Veloster Turbo to be placed into the spotlights too, with the company announcing that the model will be officially presented to the public at the same Swiss automotive event, in an European premiere. The Hyundai Veloster Turbo had made its debut back in January, at the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, and the model is expected to cost 22,280 USD when it will hit the dealerships.

As a reminder, the Hyundai Veloster Turbo is powered by the 1.6 liter Gamma GDI four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the same one used in the standard Veloster but under a different form. The unit is developing a total output of 204 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 195 lb-ft, coming with a choice of two transmissions, six-speed manual or automatic. The Hyundai Veloster Turbo can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds, compared to the 9.7 seconds required by the naturally aspirated version to get to the same speed. More details on the model will be announced at the Geneva Motor Show.
