Subaru BRZ deliveries pushed to next year in Japan

Subaru has recently announced that the BRZ deliveries have been pushed to next year in Japan because of high demand.

Bad news for future owners of the Subaru BRZ in Japan, who will have to wait more in order to get their sports car delivered, as the Japanese based automaker has recently announced. Deliveries of the Subaru BRZ have been pushed to next year in the sports car’s home land because of high demand. The Gunma factory is currently unable to keep up with the production in order to meet the delivery numbers which are four times more than anticipated. Whether or not this will affect other markets is currently unknown.

The Subaru BRZ is being offered in three trim levels and the sports car is powered by the same engine as the Toyota GT 86, the 2.0 liter petrol unit, which is producing a total output of 197 horsepower at 7,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 151 lb-ft, available at 6,600 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission in standard, which is sending the power to the rear wheels, but a six-speed automatic, with steering wheel paddle shifters, can also be ordered as an option.
