Jaguar is announcing two new engines

The British based automaker Jaguar has recently announced two new engines which will be introduced to the XF, XJ and the upcoming F-Type sports car.

According to the car manufacturer, the new 3.0 liter supercharged V6 petrol burner along with the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo unit will be introduced to the company’s vehicle lineup. Jaguar says that the upcoming F-Type sports car, which has made its appearance as a simple rumor and then it was eventually confirmed for production, will get the all-new 3.0 liter supercharged V6 petrol engine, which will become available in two outputs, with 375 BHP and with 335 BHP.

“Both the 3.0 liter V6 S/C and the 2.0 I4 Ti make intelligent use of forced-induction technology to produce high-specific output in an efficient way, while delivering the compelling combination of flexibility, refinement and driver reward that are integral attributes in all Jaguar engines”, said the company’s Group chief engineer powertrain, Ron Lee.

Besides the 3.0 liter supercharged V6 unit in its two outputs which will make its way under the hood of the new F-Type sports car, Jaguar will also introduce a new 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo engine on the XF and XJ, where it will develop 247 BHP. Besides this, Jaguar also plans to put the 335 BHP V6 onto the two models, which will allow them to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.7 seconds.
