Volkswagen denies 2015 F1 entry rumors

According to khabarkhodro، The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently denied all rumors which were saying that the company is planning to enter Formula 1 in 2015.

After a rumor appeared a couple of days ago which was saying that the German based automaker will enter Formula 1 in 2015, the company stepped forward and announced that it has no intentions of doing this. The announcement was made by Stefan Moser, the VW marketing and communications boss, who said that the automaker will continue to focus on the World Rally Championship (WRC).

Nothing has changed since our last statement. We are continuing to focus on the WRC. Entering Formula One is not an issue for us right now”, as Stefan Moser told motorsport-magazin.com.

The initial rumors were saying that Volkswagen is planning to enter Formula 1 in 2015 and the company is currently looking up to partner with Sauber for the prestigious competition for short term, but for a long term, the automaker would have been planning to get its chassis designed by Porsche at the Porsche Motorsport Centre in Weissach, Germany, where the brand is also working on the Le Mans entrant. Sadly, we won’t get to see Volkswagen in Formula 1 in three years.
