2013 VW Beetle to get diesel engine

According to khabarkhodro ،The 2013 Volkswagen Beetle will get a diesel engine option which, in Great Britain, it will cost 1,050 GBP more than the 1.2 liter petrol version.

According to the German based automaker, the 2013 Volkswagen Beetle will get a 2-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, which is developing a total output of 140 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 236 lb-ft. This is enough to allow the new VW Beetle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 9.4 seconds. The Beetle equipped with a diesel engine can achieve 32 miles per gallon in the city and just 41 mpg on the highway.

 The 2013 Volkswagen Beetle TDI will be available in three trim levels: TDI, TDI with Sunroof and TDI with Sunroof, Sound and Navigation and the model is already available at the company’s dealerships where its base starting price has been set at 20,085 GBP. The new VW Beetle is getting air conditioning, a high performance 400W Fender Stereo (500 GBP extra) and DAB radio, along with its rear parking sensors and retro 17-inch alloy wheels.
