Iran Khodro to export 50 percent of production in 2016

According to khabarkhodro، IranKhodro plans to increase its production capacity to 1.2 million units a year and export almost half of that by 2016.

“About one third of IranKhodro exports are in different countries, especially Islamic nations, and the rest is in the form of exporting full vehicles”, said Djavad Nadjmeddin, IranKhodro Industrial Group CEO. “Building a foreign plant is as difficult as constructing the domestic one with ten times more capacity.”

He added: Every one billion dollars of export adds two billions to GDP and creates 23, 000 job opportunities.

He mentioned the prophecy of his company as to reach the goals of the 20-year outlook and said: IranKhodro is continuing its path in this [export] important section of the industry through collaborations with prestigious automakers.

While emphasizing on Irankhodro strategic plans and defending Iran’s industrial credit, he asserted: IranKhodro has developed suitable infrastructures, such as improving parts supply chains, automobile design centers, increasing the fuel efficiency and safety of products and lowering their [CO2] emmitions, to extend its presence in target markets.
