Audi to launch e-tron versions for all models by 2020

According to khabarkhodro،The German based automaker Audi is planning to launch e-tron versions for all of its models by 2020 in an attempt to cut down on CO2 emissions.

Toyota was the first automaker to officially announce that it will offer its customers a hybrid version for all of its cars by 2020 but now Audi is stepping forward and announcing that all of its models will receive electric versions by the same year. The company’s “green” models will receive the “e-tron” badges, which is currently attributed for vehicles which can travel a lot of km in full electric mode.

Audi is planning to develop plug-in hybrids, hybrids and electric vehicles for all of its models and the first one to make its way into the dealerships will be the production version of the Audi R8 e-tron, which has been scheduled to be launched later on this year. The German supercar will be followed in 2014 by a plug-in hybrid version of the A3, along with similar variants of the A4 and Q7. No more details are known about the upcoming “green” fleet signed by Audi.
