Recall roundup: Maserati models in Australia

According to khabar khodro ،The Italian based automaker Maserati has recently announced a recall for several of its models in Australia, because of a problem with the tire pressure monitoring electric control unit.

According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), 24 units of the Quattroporte, GranCabrio and GranTurismo (GranTurismo MC Stradale is unaffected) will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers because of a problem with the tire pressure monitoring electric control unit which, if ignored, might lead to one or more warning lights flashing on the dashboard.

If the tyre pressure monitoring electric control unit is faulty, one or more warning lights may light up and give a false low pressure reading”, as the ACCC is saying in its summary of the problem.

No reports of any accidents or injuries have been related to this problem and Maserati Australia says that the recall is totaling around 6.9m AUD worth of vehicles. The recall is expected to begin soon, but no official date has been announced yet. Maserati will notify its Australian dealers and car owners, but, until this will happen, owners of the above mentioned models should contact their local Maserati dealership.
