Ford Predicts Record Breaking Hybrid Sales in November

According to khabar khodro، Ford  is projecting that its hybrid sales in the month of November will be its best yet, with over 6,000 hybrid vehicles sold – besting its previous 5,353 record in July 2009.

The American automaker also expects to capture 11-percent market share in the electrified vehicle market which would mark an increase of more than fivefold in 2012 alone. November was the first full month that Ford had its new C-MAX Hybrid, C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid and Fusion Hybrid at dealerships.

At the 2012 LA Auto Show,  the Fusion Hybrid was named the ‘Green Car of the Year’ by the Green Car Journal and is currently being sold off dealership lots in a mere seven days. To date, 27 percent of Fusion orders are for the hybrid model.

Last month, the C-MAX Hybrid even outsold the Toyota  Prius with 3,182 units sold compared to 2,769 units. Ford expects C-MAX Hybrid sales to have an impressive follow up month to its successful October.

The American automaker is also looking forward to its new Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid, which will go into production at the end of this year and will be aiming to be the most fuel-efficient midsize car in the world.
