Design the domestic platform needs the Government’s support

According to Khabar Khodro, Mr. Javad Najm-Din, CEO of industrial group of Iran Khodro recently spoke about the long-term plan of this company and affirmed that Iran Khodro plans to produce at least 5 platforms by 1404.

 “Iran Khodro already has run the primary research to develop current platforms however some obstacles such as international sanctions and lack of the sufficient financial support postponed this project”, said CEO.

He mentioned that focus on new technology, roll out motor and the driving enable Iran Khodro to design the new platform.

“Iran Khodro benefit consultation with a European company in order to opt one of the current platforms which has the appropriate potential for upgrade”, he added.

Meanwhile he spoke about two other ways; either cooperate with a high rank design engineering company to produce new platform or purchase an up-to-date platform.

CEO asserted that design of the platform always is expensive plan even for the big automakers, so produce the platform jointly is very common such as Renault and Citroen works and supply the cost together also BMW and Peugeot cooperate in order to reduce the cost of the production.
