The Lexus RC is expected to be the Japanese automaker’s main competitor to the BMW 4 Series.
Inspired by the LFA, the RC F will be built to handle like a true sports car, will have an eight-speed transmission and will be outfitted with plenty of carbon fiber parts.
As for pricing, the RC will launch at around $40,000 late next year, while the RC F will be priced over $100,000. There’s no chance that the new BMW M4 will even come close to that price range.
Now for the standard RC model, enthusiasts will be happy to hear that it will likely feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, a 2.5-liter hybrid variant, and a 3.5-liter V6 engine choice.
The RC F is expected to make its debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, with the rest of the RC lineup coming in April at the New York Auto Show.
