Peugeot 206 type 2 production will commence

According to Khabar Khodro, with being independence in developing power and electricity platform of 206 and IMS system of TU5 engines, production of 206 type 5 and SDV8 commenced again and from the beginning of this year till today 14000 units of that have been produced.

 It is planned to produce 50000 units of this product with daily production of 400 units, by the end of year.

In case of supplying all needed pieces of Iran Khodro’s line up and market demand, it would be produced even more.

According to this report, some sorts of TU5 engines are still taken from outside the country but necessary plans have been done and soon this segment will be internal.

With costumers’ tendency toward stronger engines with more speed, the plan for developing TU5 engines independently has commenced earlier and was eventuate. In addition, independency of TU3 engines, which are used for 206 type 2, has also commenced and accomplished up to 70 percent and goes on.

With accomplishment of independency plan for TU3 engines before end of the year 206 type 2 would again be produced in Iran Khodro’s line up.
