Saipa’s new trucks will have more powerful and more efficient engines

According to Khabar Khodro, with considering society’s need for a truck, which fits country’s climate, Saipa Auto industry has commenced the development and production of pickup 151. Since it was a pickup truck, there was need to change its pawertrain.

Its engine has simultaneously passed durability tests and emission standards in IDIADA Company in Spain and in engine testing laboratories inside the country.

Euro 4 engine which is built in Saipa Auto Industry compared to previous engines is so improved in terms of quality and cost. Totally, with such improvements, its fuel efficiency has increased up to 6 percent and its powe and torque have also increased up to 10 or 12 percent compared to the base variant.

With considering major differences between X100 and Euro 4 engine, most improvements are in upper parts of the engine, which includes improvements in cylinder head, timing of opening and closing system of valves or valve train. In addition, its manual rocker arm has changed to a hydraulic one.

The oil used in this engine has a better quality compared to previous engine oils. 20w50 oil was used in X100 engines but in this new engine, it should be 10w40 oil. This oil is also used in vehicles such as Megan, Nissan Maxima, Tondar 90 and Rio.

Using plastic cylinder head cover instead of an Aluminum one, is of exclusivities in this car. The catalyst used in pickup 151 is CCC, the design of manifold system and catalyst of which is according to catalyst’s efficiency and suitable volumetric efficiency for the engine.

Pickup 151 gearbox is also changed according to its engine.

Better performance, reducing costs of pieces and return sets of transmission, unification of differential parts, clutch crust and gearbox crust of X100 and Tiba in supplying and services, assembly of X100 Euro4 MG121 gearbox in Tiba gearbox assembly line and using this line’s capacity and following that improving the quality of mentioned gearbox set and finally satisfaction of customers are all the results of this project in Mega Motor Company.
