According to Khabar Khodro, While other automakers are struggling to meet standards set by new crash tests, Honda and Acura are putting out winners.
Acura proudly announced today that its two crossovers scored a 5-star score by NHTSA, thanks to impressive performance in both front and side impact tests. While both impact tests resulted in a five-star rating, the cars also scored an acceptable four-star rating for rollover resistance.
With these top scores from NHTSA, Acura expects its cars to get the top “good” rating from the IIHS, a score that few automakers are seeing. As a result the brand also believes the MDX will earn the prized “Top Safety Pick+” rating from the IIHS and thinks the RDX is good for a “Top Safety Pick” as well.
