Registration for Traffic Plan of 93 began

According to Khabar Khodro, deputy of Transportation and Traffic Organization in Tehran’s Municipality said, “Registration for Traffic Plan of 93 has begun today and would be continued until 23^rd of this month.”

Engineer Jafar Tashakori Hashemi in an interview with Khabar Khodro’s reporter added, “Any change in prices of Traffic Plan License is dependent to decisions of Tehran City Council. Transportation and Traffic Organization has offered 10 percent increase in price of Traffic Plan Emblem, which is expected to be accepted by members.”

There is no priority in soon or late registration so it is recommended that citizens and applicants try to register within 20 days.

He admitted, “In recent years, 10 to 15 percent of emblems were sold daily or weekly and in emergency conditions of air pollution in Tehran with not selling this amount we have been successful to prevent only 10 to 15 percent of vehicles to go in Traffic Plan regions. So with increase in this amount we can have more control in emergency conditions of air pollution in Tehran.”

Hashemi remarked, “Despite profitability of selling annual Traffic Plan Emblem, urban management decided to allocate less share to annual license next year. It is to say that, all cash proceeded from selling Traffic Plan License including daily, weekly or annual would be allocated to transportation and lubricating traffic.”
