According to Khabar Khodro, if foreign barriers are removed and regulations is made easier Iran Khodro has the possibility to export at least 30 percent of its products to global markets.
Engineer Ali Elmi, deputy of exports and national affairs in Iran Khodro Industrial Group said, "In negotiation with foreign companies this issue was placed in our agenda."
He added, "Products of Iran Khodro are competitive in target markets because of their quality and good prices."
He admitted, "New markets that are under study or marketing is taking place there, are not far away from the issue."
Deputy of exports in Iran Khodro knows the international limits, huge economical problems in country and political changes and rules in target markets as most important factors in export decrease.
He remarked, "When transferring money or products faces problems costumers do not wait and turn to other manufacturers. Our dealers in other countries also turn to suppliers that would not have to face complex problems for buying their products."
Elmi told, "Exporting 50 percent of products are among the ideals of auto industry in country and we have a long way to reach to this goal but in some years we have exported about 10 percent of products."
About automakers relying on local market he explained, "When production capacity reached 1600000 units annually the market was not ready to accept this amount so automakers concluded that should rely on exporting markets in order to retain production. Therefore, they have done extra efforts for marketing there."
