According to Khabar Khodro,Subaru has unveiled its sixth generation Outback SUV at the New York Motor Show.
The Subaru Legacy-based 4x4 gets a new look in line with the new Legacy, with added body protection and giant roof rails on top. The A-pillars are now slimmer than before for improved visibility, while Subaru’s EyeSight camera system provides a safety package that includes everything from front crash prevention to lane keep assistance.
Although the latest Subaru Outback is no longer than the outgoing model, it gets more space in the back and a bigger boot. Powered leather seats are standard, as is a Harman Kardon sound system.
In the US, two engines will be on offer: a 173bhp four-cylinder engine and a 253bhp V6, both sending power to the all-wheel drive system through a CVT transmission.
There’s no word yet on whether the new Outback will come to the UK, with Subaru saying it is looking at exchange rates before making a final decision.
